Guyanan Rainbow Boas
I have had the pleasure of working with this rare species since 1997 when I purchased a 2 year old “male” from a couple because it was getting too big (about 2.5 feet) and shortly after this bought a yearling female. The first two pictures are the “male”; the last picture is the female.
The pair hadn’t produced for me, so in October 2000, I took them to a Herpetology meeting to get probed. I had two females, so it is no wonder that they were not breeding. I sold these two girls to make room for the more colorful Brazilians, but have regretted it ever since. I might again get some Guyanans, but not in the near future...I still do not have this subspecies as of 2009.
